Multi Room and Cinema System for high end property developer

 

We were asked by a developer, who we often work with, to install a system for a new build.  This is a case where a budget conscious developer wants a system that shows as much as possible for as little cost as possible.  We proposed a system that is of high quality and has a bit of everything with the options of expanding or adding more if required.

 

As with all of our projects cabling was installed to all areas allowing additional systems to be installed and current systems upgraded if required.

 

A Grand Concerto multi room audio system was installed throughout the property including en-suites and outdoor areas which utilized waterproof two way touch pads. In the larger entertainment spaces, which were perfect for parties, extra amplification and speakers were added so the guys could really show the system off to potential buyers.

 

A Dab tuner and Ipod dock were added as sources on the system which provide a good choice and quality of music, they are also cost effective sources to demonstrate control and feedback of the system on the Grand Concerto touch pads.

 

A mixture of standard and high definition video systems were added as the developer wished to have a number of Plasma displays installed throughout the property.  This will serve High Definition sources such as Sky HD boxes, Blu-Ray players and Movie Servers etc to the main rooms of the property and standard video from sources to rooms such as guest bedrooms etc.  Cabling is terminated at wall outlets hidden by wall mounted televisions or for the time being pictures or mirrors and all components are kept out of sight either installed in the main equipment cupboard containing an equipment rack or for local cupboards for easy access to sources such as DVD players and Games consoles.

 

A CCTV and a neat video door entry solution from BPT were added for communicating with and controlling gates.  At present only four cameras are installed along with cabling for more to be added.  Cameras are also viewable from any TV point.

 

To round things off a cinema system with a 5.1 Polk in wall surround sound system and an Optoma HD projector were installed in the loft room.  The system is up to date with all of the latest audio/video high definition formats and has a Blu Ray player fitted which looks fantastic for demonstrating the system.  Rako lighting control is fitted in the room for lowering the lights at movie time and all this can be controlled from a neat Logitech 1100 touch screen controller.
