Today's multi-channel surround sound and whole house audio systems require multiple
speaker locations. The result can be an ever growing number of speaker grilles,
boxes and hardware that compete with the decor of your living space.
With Stealth Acoustics products you can have dynamic full ranged audio placed where
it needs to be without regard to the architectural conflicts that occur with conventional
speaker grilles and boxes
Invisible speaker solutions in one form or another have been around for many years.
In the past, these solutions came with serious performance and value issues. In other
words they did not sound very good and were very expensive. The goal at Stealth Acoustics
is to bring invisible speaker solutions into the mainstream of choices when deciding
how to get quality audio into a living space.
Stealth Acoustics utilises a unique invisible acoustic 3-layer composite material
for the face of the speaker panel. This material is comprised of two layers of high
grade graphics paper with a foam centre. A CNC rotating machine mills the internal
panels face in a straticial pattern, helping to give acoustical transparency to the
speaker.
All Stealth Acoustics speakers utilise a simple, yet robust multi-stage crossover
network which incorporates Polyswitch protection circuitry. By employing crossover
components that exceed the rated power of the speaker, system reliability is greatly
enhanced. Each stage of the speaker system is further protected from overload by
self-resetting Polyswitches. The Polyswitches act as a sentry to how much power is
delivered to the speaker. If amplifier power exceeds the rated capacity of the speaker,
the Polyswitches reduce the power delivered to the speaker until the excessive power
is removed, at which time they reset the speaker to normal operation.
Carbon-Fibre Mid Range Tweeter Driver Design
Stealth speakers reproduce high and mid-range frequencies using patent-pending carbon-fibre
/ motor assemblies conceived by Stealth Acoustics. The High-power Neodymium-magnet
motors attach directly to very light weight yet stiff carbon-fibre plates, in-laid
within the 3 layer composite face material. This combination of powerful motors coupled
to the carbon-fibre allows for the crisp and clear high frequency transmission. Harnessing
this technology has created an invisible speaker system with impressive high-frequency
output, even when painted or covered with wallpaper.
Lever Technology Bespoke 8” Woofer / Sealed Enclosure
All the Stealth speakers and subwoofers utilize 8” and 6” cone woofers to reproduce
lower frequencies. The cone woofer energises air within a small-volume sealed internal
chamber which in turn activates the speakers’ flexible front panel face – this technology
is known as an ‘acoustic lever’. Stealth’s Acoustic Lever™ principle couples excursion
of the woofer to a much larger surface area of the panel to provide warm and naturally
extended low frequencies.
